Stuff To Know About Fortunato Park:
Fortunato Park is located in Ormond Beach on one of the beachside corner for the Route 40 Ormond Beach Bridge. On the other corner is The Casements Park. They are connected and you can walk or bike between the two. The only remnants of the old Ormond Hotel also known as Ormond Hotel Cupola is located on the park property. It is the small round building that sits at the front of the park. The original hotel was demolished in 1992 leaving just this piece as a memorial to a time now passed. Check out The Casements which is connected to this park. On the other side of the river is a really nice deck walk that extends about a 1/4 into the river or almost to the halfway point of the river. The entire walkway is 1/3 of a mile long. It is a highly recommended place to have lunch. The river is almost always breezy and the bridge allows for shade. Check them out, Cassen Park and Bailey’s Riverfront Gardens Park.
