Daytona Beach Froggy’s Saloon (Main Street)

Froggy’s Saloon

Froggy’s Saloon is a dive bar and a damn good one. What exactly is a dive bar? If you glance through definitions on the internet, you find the following results:

A well-worn, unglamorous bar, often serving a cheap, simple selection of drinks to a regular clientele. The term can describe anything from a comfortable-but-basic neighborhood pub to the nastiest swill-slinging hole.” – Urban Dictionary

A dive bar is an informal bar or pub. Such bars are sometimes referred to as neighborhood bars, where local residents gather to drink and socialize. – Wikipedia

Froggy’s has been described as an “experience in itself” by visitors from around the globe. Family-owned and operated on Main Street in Daytona Beach for over 30 years, this biker-oriented establishment features a large outdoor area with a festival atmosphere. It draws its biggest crowds during Bike Week in March and Biketober Fest in October when it features local bands and scantily dressed dancers. It’s much quieter during the off season, but still a great place to play the jukebox, shoot pool, or hang out with friends.

Froggy’s has daily food specials and happy hour pricing, plus, the drinks are known to be cheap and strong! A rustic but clean appearance, including the restrooms, adds to the rugged charm. The souvenir stand offers classic Froggy’s t-shirts, event patches and other branded merchandise.

Open daily from 7am (Yes, 7 in the morning!) to 3am the next day, there’s parking in the rear with plenty of room for bikes.

So look for the iconic skeleton bone chopper in the window and venture inside. ‘Ain’t drinking fun?’ You better believe it.
