The French Laundry in Yountville — three Michelin stars, arguably the best restaurant in America. Tasting menu only, jacket required, book months ahead. It’s the peak experience. Bouchon Bistro (same chef, more casual) — if you can’t get into The French Laundry. Ad Hoc — family-style dining at a reasonable price point, same ownership, genuinely delicious. Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch — wine and food from their own property, vineyard views, less formal than Napa’s fancier spots. Restaurant at Meadowood (two Michelin stars) — set menu in a resort setting, excellent wine list, quieter than Yountville’s center.
