Things to Do in Montego Bay

Montego Bay is on the northwest coast of Jamaica, about 90 miles from Kingston. The international airport (MBJ) is the main entry point for Jamaica tourism, and the city itself is a working port of about 110,000 with a tourism strip — the Hip Strip on Gloucester Avenue — that runs along the closest beaches. Just inland the country gets dramatic: limestone bluff country, rivers, and the Blue Mountains rising in the east. Most Jamaica trips that aren’t all-inclusive cluster here for first-and-last nights with day trips outward.
