The Brunch Scene

Hash Kitchen (multiple locations) — The most Instagrammed brunch in Scottsdale. A 40-ingredient build-your-own Bloody Mary bar with bacon strips, shrimp, and entire sliders as garnishes. The food — truffle hash, churro waffles, and a fried chicken biscuit — backs up the spectacle.

The Mission (Old Town) — Latin-inspired brunch in a converted church. Churro waffles, avocado toast with a poached egg, and $5 mimosas. The interior is dramatic and the patio is shaded.

Prep & Pastry — Artisan bakery and brunch. Everything is baked in-house — the lemon soufflé pancakes, the biscuits and gravy, and the pastry case. Two locations, both excellent.

Mexican & Southwestern Breakfast

Los Olivos Mexican Patio (Old Town) — Since 1945. Huevos rancheros, machaca con huevo (shredded beef with eggs), and fresh tortillas. Classic Sonoran breakfast.

LoLo’s Chicken & Waffles (multiple Phoenix-area locations) — Southern-style chicken and waffles with a spicy Arizona kick. The waffle flavors (red velvet, lemon, cinnamon roll) are creative and the chicken is crispy.

Coffee & Quick

Cartel Coffee Lab (multiple locations) — Scottsdale’s best specialty coffee. The Old Town location has a small patio and excellent espresso.

Arcadia Farms Café (Old Town) — Upscale breakfast and lunch with a garden patio. Quiche, granola bowls, and fresh pastries in a setting that feels like a private garden party.
