Ponce Inlet Light House Point Park
Address: 5000 S Atlantic Ave, Ponce Inlet, FL 32127 (head south 5.5 miles from the Dunlawton Avenue Bridge.)
Are you looking for a dog friendly area in Daytona Beach? If you head south while on beachside A1A the road eventually turns right towards the lighthouse or you have to go through a paid toll booth area. The cost is $10 for the day and the park offers parking, facilities and a dog friendly area. If you are a resident the park has an annual fee of $20. If you are cheap and want to park for free, there are a few spots around where you can park and walk into the park. One would be near the lighthouse and the others are scattered along the road leading to the lighthouse from the park entrance area.

Open everyday: Feb 1st through Daylight savings time start: 6am – 7:30pm Start of Daylight savings time through Sept 30th: 6am – 9pm Oct 1st through Nov 30th: 6am – 7:30pm Dec 1st through Jan 31st: 6am – 6pm
Lighthouse Point Park Things To Know:
*$10 per vehicle, $20 for the annual inlet parks pass.
*Free for Handicapped and Disabled Veteran registered vehicles.
*Additional discounts available for surviving spouses or children of first responders whom died in the line of duty.
*Alcohol is prohibited within the park!
*Trailers are not permitted on weekends and holidays without prior authorization.
*Pets are allowed on the wooden boardwalks and inlet shore beach area. Pets must be leashed at all times. Pets are not allowed on the Atlantic Ocean Beach or concrete jetty.
*Lighthouse Point Park is a 52 acres.
*Park amenities are handicapped accessible and dog-friendly.
Notes & Other Dog Friendly Options:
Pets are welcome in All Volusia County Parks as long as you follow the basic rules.
*Pets must be kept on a leash at all times and you must clean up after your pet or be fined $55.
*Dangerous or aggressive animals will not be tolerated. The fine is up to $500.
Note: I have seen plenty of people let their dogs run loose in Lighthouse Point Park (just in the dog island area), but the rules do state to keep Rover on a leash. The area is solely for the use of your pet and clearly labeled that way. People that don’t like dogs just don’t visit Dog Island. The biggest danger is your dog and another dog getting into it. In most cases, this is a dog’s beach paradise.

Michael Crotty Bicentennial Park – 4 acres (1800 N. Ocean Shore Blvd., Ormond-by-the-Sea)
