The Smoky Mountain Deer Farm Exotic Petting Zoo is in SEVIERVILLE, about 20 minutes from Dollywood — follow Dolly Parton Parkway and Walnut Grove Road, then the yellow signs for the last 1.3 miles. Over a hundred tame deer live here alongside zebras, llamas, camels, African pygmy goats and one zonkey — a zebra-donkey with striped legs. All four films on this page are narrated keepers; the farm's record is small and complete.

A cup of feed or apple slices buys close encounters: the animals come straight to the fence. The rules are filmed clearly — the cup feed is not for the pigs, camels or birds, and you do not climb in with the deer (you'll be swarmed, kindly). Smoky Mountain Family's takeaway is how calm everything is: animals raised on visitor feed do not mob you; they wander over to see what you brought. Feed comes in small and large cups.
The drive and the grounds
The 2021 visit doubles as the driving guide: about 11.5 miles and 21 minutes from Pigeon Forge via Veterans Boulevard, Highway 411 and Walnut Grove to Happy Hollow Lane, signed the whole way. The paths are hilly; bus and RV visitors are asked to call ahead. The farm sits off Highway 411 in the New Center area.
More than deer
Pony rides for kids and horseback riding at the stables share the grounds, with a resident turtle among the goats jostling for position at the fence. It is the gentlest page in the Pigeon Forge set — a farm morning, not a theme-park day, and priced and paced accordingly in every film.
