Beyond the dinner shows, Pigeon Forge runs a row of theaters doing comedy, country music, magic and tribute acts — most without a meal attached. These eight films sample the row from inside the rooms: a full Comedy Barn performance, Country Tonite's stage, the Red Skelton tribute behind the scenes, and Terry Evanswood in long interview.

The Comedy Barn appears twice because it anchors the genre: a full performance film (host Danny Devaney's plate-spinning bit with a volunteer in a helmet) and a full-formula visit — clean comedy, live music, juggling, ventriloquism and the famous human-xylophone routine. Their verdict: still a Smokies must-do.
Country and tribute
Country Tonite's distinction is its youth performers — an 11-year-old banjo player and an 11-year-old fiddler among the cast — inside a high-energy revue. The Red Skelton tribute is one man's fifteen-year craft: Brian Hoffman recreating Skelton's wordplay and pantomime, Freddie the Freeloader's handmade hats and all.

Evanswood headlines the Grand Majestic's magic show and moonlights in its other productions; his interview is the man behind the illusions. The closing top-30 ranking stacks the whole Parkway — shows included — the way locals do. Individual theaters have their own pages in this directory; this guide is the sampler.
