Mountain Mile is Pigeon Forge's newer entertainment district, up Teaster Lane in sight of The Island's wheel — a different district from The Island, and the films here are careful about the distinction. Its center is the Tower Shops around a wide turf hub: lawn games, fountain seating, and the Mountain Monster tower launching thrill rides overhead. One family-first film makes the district's pitch precisely: it is one of the few places in town that works equally well for two-year-olds and grandparents.

The anchor tenant is Guy Fieri's Downtown Flavortown — a 14-lane bowling alley, a tiki bar and full Vegas-style carpet, per Yankee in the South's lunch visit. Around it: Cream & Sugar with nostalgic candy and moon pies, a general store covering gifts and gear, Cinnaholic for dessert, and Junction 35 Distillery pouring tastings inside the district. One shop has you sign a waiver to taste its hottest pepper; nobody in that family film planned to.
The Mountain Monster
The tower runs three rides — Monster Launch, Monster Swing and Monster Drop — named in the evening-walk film, whose host rides none of them and says so. The night tour catches the launches overhead with the shops lit below. The district reads best after dark: fountain seating made for sunset photos, then the tower lit against the sky.

The Fall 2021 tour shows the district young — $10 artisan shakes, cornhole on the turf — against the 2026 what's-new film. One reviewer makes the case for Mountain Mile as the escape from The Island's crowds; the two districts are a short drive apart and the films treat them as alternatives, not a pair.
