Best Restaurants in Orlando

Orlando’s food scene has evolved far beyond theme park counter service. The city now has legitimate neighborhood dining districts, James Beard-recognized chefs, and international food corridors that rival cities twice its size.

Sand Lake Road — Restaurant Row

The stretch of Sand Lake Road between I-4 and Turkey Lake Road has one of the highest concentrations of diverse restaurants in the Southeast.

Hawkers Asian Street Food — Malaysian, Thai, Chinese, and Japanese street food in a lively setting. The roti canai and laksa are must-orders. Multiple locations but the Sand Lake original is the best.

Shin Jung — Korean BBQ and hot pot. Grill your own meat at the table. Authentic and popular with Orlando’s large Korean community.

Slate — Contemporary American with globally inspired dishes. Craft cocktails and a sophisticated atmosphere. Good date-night spot.

Mills 50 — The Local Food District

Mills Avenue between Colonial and Marks is Orlando’s most authentic international food corridor — Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese, Mexican, and more.

Pho 88 — The best pho in Orlando. Cash only, no frills, huge bowls. The rare beef pho is the standard order.

Pig Floyd’s Urban Barbakoa — BBQ with global influences. Smoked meats with Korean, Mexican, and Caribbean twists. The brisket tacos and the smoked wings are outstanding.

Se7en Bites — Southern bakery and brunch. The biscuits, pot pie, and boozy milkshakes have a cult following. Long waits on weekends.

Disney Springs & Resort Dining

Morimoto Asia (Disney Springs) — Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto’s pan-Asian restaurant. Peking duck, dim sum, and sushi. The best restaurant in Disney Springs.

Victoria & Albert’s (Grand Floridian Resort) — The most acclaimed restaurant in Orlando. Multi-course tasting menu with wine pairings. Jackets required. $250+ per person. A genuine fine dining experience.

Boma (Animal Kingdom Lodge) — African-inspired buffet with a stunning setting. One of the best-value dining experiences on Disney property.

Winter Park — Park Avenue

The Ravenous Pig — James Beard-nominated gastropub. Craft beer, creative pub food, and a patio on Orange Avenue. The burger and the pub fries are perfect.

Prato (Park Avenue) — Handmade Italian pasta, wood-fired pizzas, and a lively atmosphere on Park Avenue. Consistently one of the best restaurants in Orlando.

The Osprey Tavern — New American with a focus on seasonal ingredients. The seafood preparations are outstanding.

International Drive Area

Café Tu Tu Tango — Art-filled restaurant where artists paint while you eat. Tapas-style menu — order several dishes and share. Fun, different, and the food is better than you’d expect.

Nile Ethiopian Cuisine — One of the best Ethiopian restaurants in the Southeast. Injera, wot, and traditional spice blends.

Cuba Libre (Pointe Orlando) — Cuban cuisine and cocktails in a colorful Havana-inspired setting. The mojitos and ropa vieja are both excellent.
