The Loveless Cafe
Twenty minutes southwest of downtown on Highway 100, The Loveless Cafe has been serving biscuits, country ham, red-eye gravy, and homemade preserves since 1951. The biscuits are legendary — flaky, buttery, and served with strawberry and peach preserves made on site. The drive out is part of the experience — rolling hills and horse farms along the Natchez Trace corridor.
Sky Blue Cafe — East Nashville
Locally sourced, scratch-made breakfast in a charming East Nashville house. The huevos rancheros, lemon ricotta pancakes, and daily specials are excellent. Smaller and less touristy than the big-name spots.

Five Points Pizza in East Nashville does a Saturday and Sunday brunch that includes breakfast pizza (egg, bacon, cheese on a pizza crust) alongside their regular excellent pizza. The mimosas come in a carafe. The vibe is relaxed East Nashville.

Yes, people eat hot chicken for breakfast here. Hattie B’s opens at 11 AM. Prince’s opens at 11. Bolton’s opens at 11. If you’re recovering from Broadway the night before, hot chicken and sweet tea is the Nashville cure. It sounds terrible. It works.
