An honest note first: Pirates Voyage guards its show — filming inside is restricted — so the long-form record is thin, and this page's five films are what genuinely exists. What they document is the format that has filled this theater since the pirates docked in 2011.
The spectacle
The one full-length show film (2015) captures the enduring shape: rival crews, diving and acrobatics over the indoor lagoon, fire work, and Salty the sea lion's act. It predates the current production, so treat it as the show's shape rather than this season's script. The venue's own segment has Captain Blackbeard — Edward Teach — pitching the formula plainly: a four-course feast from the galley, astounding acrobatics, daring dives, feats of fire, and mermaids.
The other editions
The Christmas film shows the seasonal version: Captain Scrooge's journey through time above the lagoon, giant Christmas toys springing to life, and a live nativity — wise men, animals and an angel — before the feast finishes the night (the filmed run went through January 3rd).
Before and after
The pre-show film covers the pirate village lobby — juggling and sing-along acts warming up the crowd — and the reaction film is ninety seconds of unscripted verdict from the parking lot: the mermaids, the acrobats and Davy Jones made the kids' list, along with a live sea lion they insist you have to see. The gift shop (tiaras, wands, swords and pistols) gets its own review.
