Pier 14 is the Boardwalk's own pier, at 14th Avenue North — and in practice it is a restaurant with a fishing pier attached. The films on this page treat it exactly that way: the deck table over the water is the main event.

Two Boones films eat here two years apart. The 2024 review works the seafood menu — the extra-blackened salmon and the lightly breaded Bang Bang Shrimp get the strongest notices — in the seasonal restaurant over the water. The June 2026 film adds the gift shop and a beer out on the deck watching the sailboats, filmed while beach-renourishment work was closing stretches of sand nearby; conditions in that film are as filmed that month.
All eight piers in three hours
The third film is the Strand's great pier orientation: the Boones tour all eight Grand Strand fishing piers in under three hours, from Garden City up to Cherry Grove — Garden City, Surfside, Second Avenue, Pier 14, Springmaid, the State Park pier, Apache and Cherry Grove. Pier 14 appears as the Boardwalk stop, and the film is the fastest way to compare what each pier offers anglers and walkers. Second Avenue Pier appears in that tour as one stop among eight; its own story is told inside that segment.
