The Cherry Grove Pier, at the north end of North Myrtle Beach, spent 2023 as a construction site and came back in March 2024. This page's four films tell that whole arc in order — which makes it less a tour than a short documentary about a neighborhood getting its pier back.
August 2023: the in-between
The first film is a status check during the closure: the pier itself shut and rebuilding, the gift shop open, anglers waiting. It also records the practical side of a visit then — the nearby public parking garage charging $3 an hour in season, as filmed.
November 2023: the rebuild rises
Three months later the Boones walk the construction site and find the new structure risen almost to the height of the pier building — the middle chapter, with lunch down the beach at the Driftwood Bar and Grill.
March 2024: back open
The reopening film says it in the title: the pier is back. Anglers are fishing and walkers are out on the deck on day one. A summer driving tour of Ocean Boulevard then stops at the reopened pier as one of the boulevard's landmarks, in among the Cherry Grove rental streets it serves.
