Myrtle Beach's motorcycle calendar runs on three rallies, not one β and this page's films cover all of them: the spring and fall Harley rallies centered on Murrells Inlet, and Atlantic Beach Bikefest over Memorial Day weekend.
The Harley rallies
The Retro Myrtle Beach Guy is the rallies' resident film-maker. His beginner's guide, filmed at Suck Bang Blow in Murrells Inlet β 'Bike Week headquarters' β explains how the spring rally works for first-timers, from the Omar Shrine's Ford Bronco raffle to parade day. His 2025 spring film works the same grounds on day one; his fall 2026 night film moves between Suck Bang Blow and the Beaver Bar and catches the autumn rally's character: smaller, later, louder. The Boones add a car-window view of the 2024 spring route β vendor tents, troopers on scene, and the church lot where the Beaver Bar collects parking money it donates back to the church β plus fall 2025 watch footage.
Atlantic Beach Bikefest
Atlantic Beach, the four-block-wide town known as the Black Pearl, was one of the few beaches open to African Americans during segregation; more than 50 of its buildings stand on the National Register of Historic Places. Its Memorial Day weekend Bikefest β Black Bike Week β is filmed here from the street in 2021 and 2026, and the CVB's portraits supply the town's history, its Gullah Geechee festival, and the story of a haven built by and for Black vacationers. One of those history shorts carries only a non-English caption track and stands as watch content.
