Sea Captain’s House (oceanfront) — Fine dining on the beach. Fresh catch, she-crab soup (the house specialty), and sunset views from the enclosed porch. One of the most romantic restaurants on the Grand Strand.

Murrells Inlet, 15 minutes south of Myrtle Beach, is the seafood capital of the Grand Strand. The MarshWalk is a boardwalk along the salt marsh with seven waterfront restaurants.

Drunken Jack’s — The original MarshWalk spot. Southern seafood and swamp views.

Little Pigs BBQ (multiple locations) — South Carolina-style whole hog with vinegar-based sauce. Buffet format. One of the best BBQ spots on the coast.

Prosser’s BBQ (Murrells Inlet) — Family-run since 1971. Pulled pork, hash (a South Carolina specialty), and sides that are the star of the show.

Johnny D’s Waffles & Benedicts (multiple locations) — Creative waffles and eggs Benedict variations. The red velvet waffle and the crab cake Benedict are signatures. Lines on weekends.

Croissants Bistro & Bakery — French-inspired bakery with pastries, croissants, and savory breakfast plates. One of the more sophisticated morning options on the Grand Strand.
