Wynwood Miami — Street Art, Galleries, Food & Nightlife
Wynwood is Miami’s arts district — a former warehouse neighborhood transformed into one of the most vibrant street art destinations in the world. The murals cover entire building facades, and new ones appear constantly.
Wynwood Walls
The centerpiece — an outdoor museum of street art curated by the late Tony Goldman. Giant murals by internationally recognized artists cover the walls of a former warehouse complex. Free to enter (sometimes a small fee for special exhibits). The art rotates, so repeat visits always reveal something new.
Gallery Walk
Dozens of galleries line the streets of Wynwood — from established spaces to pop-up exhibitions. Wynwood Art Walk on the second Saturday of each month brings them all together with open doors, wine, and crowds. The Rubell Museum (technically in Allapattah next door) is one of the most important contemporary art collections in the world.
Food & Drink
Zak the Baker — artisanal bakery with outstanding bread and sandwiches. KYU — wood-fired Asian cuisine that’s been James Beard-nominated. Coyo Taco — late-night tacos with a hidden mezcal bar behind a porta-potty door. J. Wakefield Brewing — craft beer in a space covered with murals inside and out.
Street Vendors & Markets
Wynwood Marketplace operates on weekends with food trucks, artisans, and live music. Local artists sell prints, jewelry, and clothing inspired by the neighborhood. The entire district is walkable — park once and explore on foot.
