Las Vegas Happy Hours & Drink Deals — Where to Drink Cheap on the Strip

Las Vegas Happy Hours & Drink Deals

Drinks on the Las Vegas Strip are expensive — $18-22 for a cocktail at a resort bar, $12+ for a beer. But Vegas also has some of the best happy hour deals in America if you know where to look.

Best Strip-Area Happy Hours

Herbs & Rye (off-Strip, 10 min from Strip) — The undisputed champion of Vegas happy hour. Half-price steaks AND craft cocktails from 5-8 PM and again from midnight-close. A $50 steak becomes $25. A $16 cocktail becomes $8. This is the best deal in Las Vegas, period.

Beer Park (Paris Las Vegas rooftop) — Happy hour specials on draft beer and frozen cocktails with rooftop views of the Bellagio fountains. One of the few affordable rooftop experiences on the Strip.

BEER Park & Chateau (Paris Las Vegas) — Two-for-one drinks during specified hours. Check current times.

Nacho Daddy (multiple locations) — $4-5 margaritas and beer during happy hour. Build-your-own nachos keep the food bill low too.

Señor Frog’s (Treasure Island) — Yard-long drinks and spring-break energy, but the happy hour pricing is actually competitive.

Free Drinks While Gambling

This is the original Vegas drink deal and it’s still alive. Here’s how it works:

Sit at a slot machine or table game. Place minimum bets. Cocktail servers circulate regularly. Order whatever you want — beer, cocktails, even top-shelf spirits. It’s free. Tip $1-2 per drink (this is expected and ensures the server comes back).

The math: If you play $0.25 slots and bet minimum, you might spend $20/hour while receiving 2-3 free drinks worth $15-20 each. You’re drinking at a profit.

Best casinos for quick service: Downtown casinos (Circa, Golden Nugget, Fremont) tend to have faster cocktail service than the mega-resorts. Casino floors with fewer machines-per-server ratio = faster drinks.

Off-Strip Locals Bars

Atomic Liquors (Fremont East) — Craft cocktails at non-Strip prices. The oldest freestanding bar in Vegas.

The Golden Tiki (Chinatown) — Tiki drinks that would cost $20 on the Strip for half that.

Dino’s (downtown) — Dive bar. Cheap beer. Karaoke. No pretense.

Frankie’s Tiki Room (off-Strip) — 24-hour tiki bar. Strong drinks in ceramic mugs. Dark as a cave. Cash only.

Grocery Store Move

The veteran Vegas move: buy a bottle from Walgreens or CVS on the Strip (yes, they sell liquor) and pre-game in your room. A bottle of Tito’s at Walgreens costs $20-25. That same vodka at a Strip bar would run you $15 per drink. Nobody judges you for this — it’s standard Vegas strategy.
