Downtown's new kid, four-plus years in
Circa opened in 2020 as the first ground-up downtown resort in decades, at Fremont and Main — and this page checks what it has become. The complete walking tour runs the whole property from the main entrance: the two-story casino, the seating of the sportsbook Circa bills as the world's largest, the Circa suites, and the elevators up to the Legacy Club and the Stadium Swim escalators — no property map was available, the host notes; the tour is the map. A four-years-in status film (New Year staycation) confirms the formula: the longest indoor bar, as the hosts bill it, Michigan-inspired dining (Saginaw's sandwiches need two hands), and a pool deck that 'makes all the others pale in comparison.'
Stadium Swim and the book
The pool that made Circa famous gets its own focused tour: six pools heated year-round, open until 11 p.m. nightly as filmed, 28 daybeds and 32 cabanas for rent, the giant screen anchoring the amphitheater — reached by the resort's famously long escalator. The sports side is just as concrete: a repeat-stay film frames the property as a sports gambler's paradise (Saginaw's brick toast gets its full taste test), and the cheapest-room stay over St Patrick's Day weekend explains the book's economics as filmed — $25–$50 food-and-beverage minimums in place of seat fees, chairs hitting a $1,000 spend during the Super Bowl. Her verdict pairs with the All-In package test (food credit, drink credit and a Stadium Swim daybed bundled; a hosted stay, disclosed in the film as it is here): a brilliant, sports-centered, adults-first property — and not the place for peace and quiet.
The top of the house
The All-In film climbs to the 60th-floor Legacy Club, whose centerpiece is a display of a thousand ounces of gold in fifty bars, and rates its rooftop views among the best in downtown. Two first-year films date the page honestly: a 2021 'best party hotel' stay (8 East, the Asian-fusion spot, gets an enthusiastic accidental review) and an exclusive hosted suite walkthrough from the property's first year — opening-era portraits, details as filmed. Circa is the Fremont story's newest chapter; our Fremont Street page tells the century before it.
