Best Views & Photo Spots in Las Vegas
Las Vegas is one of the most photogenic cities on earth — between the neon, the desert, the architecture, and the sheer over-the-top spectacle, there’s a shot around every corner. Here are the views and spots worth seeking out.
Strip Views
STRAT Observation Deck (1,149 feet) — The highest vantage point on the Strip. Floor-to-ceiling windows and an outdoor deck. Best at sunset when the desert glows orange and the Strip lights begin to flicker on. The Skypod thrill rides add adrenaline.
Skyfall Lounge (Delano, 64th floor) — The best indoor view of the Strip. Floor-to-ceiling windows, craft cocktails, and the entire city spread below you. Go at blue hour (just after sunset).
Eiffel Tower Viewing Deck (Paris Las Vegas) — 46 stories up with a direct view of the Bellagio fountains. $25+ admission. The evening shows from up here are special.
High Roller at Sunset — The 30-minute revolution peaks at 550 feet with 360-degree views. The sunset pods (request the west-facing side) are the most photogenic.
Welcome to Las Vegas Sign — The iconic neon sign at the south end of the Strip. Free. Best shot: morning light with no crowd. The parking lot behind the sign offers the classic straight-on angle.
Desert Photography
Seven Magic Mountains (10 miles south) — Neon-painted boulder towers in the desert. The most Instagrammed art installation in Nevada. Best light: golden hour.
Valley of Fire — Fire Wave — Striped red and white sandstone that photographs like another planet. Go at sunrise for warm light and no crowds.
Red Rock Canyon — Calico Hills — The banded red and cream rock formations are stunning. Sunset light turns them deep orange.
Neon & Night Shots
Fremont Street Experience — The 1,500-foot LED canopy overhead plus vintage casino neon on both sides. Best captured with a wide-angle lens looking straight up.
The Neon Museum Boneyard — Rescued vintage neon signs. The night tour is the best for photography — signs are illuminated against the dark desert sky.
The Bellagio Fountains — Long exposure shots of the water show with the hotel lit behind. The best angle is from the corner of the Paris Las Vegas bridge.
