Best Restaurants in Las Vegas — From Fine Dining to Hidden Gems
The Strip — Celebrity Chef Row
Las Vegas has the highest concentration of celebrity chef restaurants in the world. Gordon Ramsay alone has five restaurants in Vegas. Joël Robuchon at MGM Grand holds the city’s only three Michelin stars (when Michelin covers Vegas). Guy Savoy at Caesars, é by José Andrés at The Cosmopolitan, and Bazaar Meat by José Andrés at the SLS are all world-class. The price tags match the names — expect $150-500+ per person at the top tier — but the experience is unlike anything you’ll find in most American cities.
Best Steakhouses
Vegas takes steak seriously. Bazaar Meat (SLS) does wagyu, whole-animal butchery, and an insane meat bar. Cut by Wolfgang Puck (The Venetian) is consistently ranked among the best steakhouses in America. STK (The Cosmopolitan) is the scene-y option with DJ and nightclub energy. Golden Steer is the old-school Vegas classic — Frank Sinatra’s booth is still there, and the rib eye hasn’t changed since 1958. For value, Herbs & Rye on the west side does a half-price steak special during happy hour that’s one of the best deals in the city.
Best Off-Strip Restaurants
The real Vegas food scene lives off the Strip. Lotus of Siam on Sahara has been called the best Thai restaurant in America — the Northern Thai specialties are extraordinary. Raku in Chinatown is a late-night Japanese grill that chefs eat at after their shifts. Evel Pie on Fremont East serves punk-rock pizza by the slice. Esther’s Kitchen in the Arts District does handmade pasta in a gorgeous industrial space. The Chinatown corridor along Spring Mountain Road has more authentic Asian food per mile than anywhere outside of actual Asia.
Best Cheap Eats
You can eat incredibly well in Vegas for under $20. In-N-Out Burger on the Strip (near the LINQ) — the only In-N-Out in walking distance of the Strip. Tacos El Gordo on the Strip near Wynn — Tijuana-style street tacos at 2 AM, the line is always worth it. Secret Pizza at The Cosmopolitan — hidden behind an unmarked hallway on the third floor, serves late-night slices. Peppermill on the Strip is a 24-hour retro diner with massive portions. Heart Attack Grill downtown is a gimmick, but the burgers are legitimately good.
Best Buffets
The Vegas buffet scene has evolved from all-you-can-eat mediocrity into genuinely impressive dining. Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace is the gold standard — 250+ dishes across nine kitchens. Wicked Spoon at The Cosmopolitan does individually plated portions instead of steam trays. The Buffet at Wynn is the most upscale option with made-to-order stations. Prices range from $40-75 per person depending on the day and whether you add the unlimited drink package. Weekend brunch is the best value at most buffets.
Best Restaurants for Date Night
Eiffel Tower Restaurant at Paris Las Vegas — French cuisine with direct views of the Bellagio fountains from the dining room. Mayfair Supper Club at Bellagio — dinner with live entertainment, dancers, and a big-band energy. Top of the World at The STRAT — revolving restaurant 800 feet above the Strip. Momofuku at The Cosmopolitan — David Chang’s Vegas outpost with the famous fried chicken. Sparrow + Wolf in Chinatown — creative, ingredient-driven, less touristy.
