Daytona Beach Nightlife

Daytona’s nightlife has two distinct personalities: the beachside bar scene (casual, sandy, reggae-flavored) and the Main Street / Seabreeze Boulevard strip (livelier, louder, more traditional nightlife). Both have their place depending on what you’re after.

Beachside Bars

Ocean Deck (beachside) — The most iconic bar in Daytona Beach. Three levels: the beach-level bar with sand floors and reggae, the mid-level restaurant, and the upstairs deck with ocean views. Live music regularly. This is where Daytona’s nightlife reputation was built.

Oyster Pub (Seabreeze Blvd) — Raw bar, cold beer, and a crowd that’s been coming for decades. One of the oldest continuously operating bars in Daytona Beach.

Mai Tai Bar (beachside) — Tiki vibes, strong frozen drinks, and a patio that catches the ocean breeze. Less rowdy than Ocean Deck, good for couples.

Boot Hill Saloon (Main Street) — Biker bar institution. Open since the 1970s. Leather, tattoos, live rock, and zero pretense. A genuine slice of Daytona’s motorcycle culture.

Main Street & Downtown

Bank & Blues Club (downtown) — Live blues and jazz in a converted bank building. The acoustics are great and the booking is quality. This is where the serious music happens in Daytona.

Daytona Taproom (downtown) — Craft beer bar with rotating taps and a chill atmosphere. The best beer selection in downtown Daytona.

Tia Cori’s Tacos (downtown) — Mexican restaurant with a bar scene that picks up late. Strong margaritas, good tacos, and a young crowd.

Ormond Beach & North

Grind Gastropub & Kona Tiki Bar (Ormond Beach) — Two bars in one location. Craft cocktails inside, tiki drinks outside. One of the more polished bar experiences in the area.

Rockefeller Gardens (Ormond Beach) — Outdoor bar and live music venue. Acoustic acts, craft beer, and a garden setting that’s a nice change from the beach bars.

Special Events

Bike Week (March) — The biggest annual event in Daytona. 500,000+ motorcyclists descend on the area. Main Street becomes a wall-to-wall biker rally with live music, vendor stalls, and motorcycle displays. The nightlife during Bike Week is unlike any other time of year.

Biketoberfest (October) — The smaller fall version of Bike Week. Same concept, about half the crowd.

Spring Break — Still happens in Daytona, though it’s smaller than its 1980s-90s peak. The beachside bars are the center of the action.
