The Local Favorites

Peach Valley Café (multiple locations) — The brunch destination in Volusia County. Southern-inspired breakfast with generous portions — peach pecan French toast, shrimp and grits, and biscuits with sausage gravy. The Port Orange and Ormond Beach locations are the originals. Weekend waits can be 30-45 minutes.

Dancing Avocado Kitchen (downtown Daytona) — Healthy, creative breakfast in a colorful downtown space. Avocado toast (obviously), acai bowls, veggie scrambles, and fresh juices. One of the few places in Daytona where you’ll find a wellness-oriented menu.

Cracked Egg Diner (Daytona Beach) — Classic American diner. Enormous omelets, stacks of pancakes, and bottomless coffee. No-frills, consistent, and the kind of place where regulars sit at the counter and the waitress knows their order.

Sunnyside Up (Port Orange) — Small, local, and popular. Creative egg dishes, breakfast burritos, and friendly service. The portions are generous and the prices are fair.

Beachside Breakfast

The Cellar (downtown, near the beach) — Café with breakfast and lunch. Centrally located, good coffee, and solid egg dishes.

Joe’s Crab Shack (boardwalk area) — Not haute cuisine, but the boardwalk breakfast with ocean views is a pleasant way to start a beach day.

Port Orange & South

First Watch (multiple locations) — The chain that started in Florida. Reliable brunch with creative seasonal specials. The Port Orange location is convenient for the south side.

Aunt Catfish’s Sunday Brunch (Port Orange) — All-you-can-eat brunch with catfish, fried chicken, and those legendary cinnamon rolls. On the Halifax River. Get there early.
