Branson is quietly one of the best rainy-day towns in America — the Strip's museums and indoor attractions cluster within a mile of each other, and a wet day just reorders the itinerary. Eight films stock the wet-weather bench.
The museum row
YourAdventureCompass tours Ripley's Odditorium end to end: the two-story car-parts robot, the cracked earthquake facade, gallery after gallery, an authentic Wells Fargo stagecoach and the shooting gallery. The Branson Fam walk the Titanic Museum room by room, grand staircase to memorial room. Attractions Magazine tours the Aquarium at the Boardwalk — 46,000 square feet opened in 2020 under the giant steel octopus — tunnel, touch pools and all. The Carpetbagger checks what is new at the Hollywood Wax Museum, the country's only celebrity-only wax museum, saloon of country greats included.
The gentle and the strange
Play Branson goes behind the scenes at the Butterfly Palace with its general manager and its resident inventor character: the nectar flower visitors carry to feed butterflies, and the three-day wristband that makes a rainy weekend flexible. Fantabulous Travels walks all of the Ancient Ozarks Natural History Museum at Top of the Rock — Johnny Morris's 35,000-square-foot collection — as watch content, since the film carries no narration track.
Burn energy indoors
Beyond the Lens runs the Branson Fam through the Human Kaleidoscope, virtual bowling and the pitching simulator after the FlyRide check-in ritual, and Fritz's Adventure's own Aerodium film floats riders in its indoor vertical wind tunnel — official footage of the flight experience, and the loudest possible answer to a rained-out afternoon.
