The Strip is indoors; the Ozarks are not. This guide takes eight films outside and underground — two mountain coasters ridden at full speed, a canyon trail walked end to end, a golf cart through a cave, and 150 steps down into the dark.
Speed, rider-controlled
Branson's signature thrill puts the brake in your hand. The Branson Fam's POV covers the Copperhead Mountain Coaster at Shepherd of the Hills — introduced as Branson's longest downhill coaster, in a park that also holds ziplines and the 230-foot Inspiration Tower — and their Runaway Mountain Coaster ride-through at Branson Mountain Adventure Park, waivers-by-tablet and five-year-old Charlie included. A Track Family Fun Parks film rounds out the speed section with go-karts, bumper boats and the Ferris Wheel across its Strip parks, as venue watch footage.
The canyon and the cart trail
FindUsHere's 49-minute Dogwood Canyon film is the definitive walk of the park: the 45-minute drive out, then the full 3.2-mile paved trail past creeks, waterfalls, caves and trout water. At Top of the Rock, Lovin' Life's Journey ride the Lost Canyon Cave & Nature Trail by golf cart — waterfalls, covered bridges and the Bat Bar cave — and note the format suits visitors with mobility limits, since there is no hiking required.
Underground and straight down
Missouri is the Cave State, and two of its guided caves are here: Talking Rocks Cavern, 150 steps down with guide Jacob, and Marvel Cave beneath Silver Dollar City, where Coaster Trek's tour group was turned back twice by lightning — water and metal railings do not mix underground. The page ends at Fritz's Adventure, where Jeff Takes on Branson narrates stepping off the Skyfall free-fall platform in the first person.
