Branson's calendar has four headline seasons hiding inside the show schedule, and nine films cover the biggest nights of each: fall's pumpkin festivals, the Jeep takeover, a football rally, a patriotic blowout and the whole Christmas apparatus.
Fall takes over
Silver Dollar City's Harvest Festival builds Pumpkins in the City — an evening spectacle of illuminated pumpkins with the park after dark — and Shepherd of the Hills answers with Pumpkinfest, its homestead turned into a fall farm festival, filmed across a 2024 day on the campus. Between the theme park and the homestead, October in Branson is a season, not a month.
The takeover weekends
Jeep Branson floods the Landing — hundreds of Jeeps on the waterfront for the festival kick-off party, scenic rides and community events running from the district. The Kansas City Chiefs Rally packs the same waterfront under the partnership that makes Branson the Chiefs' official vacation destination. And at the College of the Ozarks, Honor America — the college's big patriotic celebration, staged for America's 250th birthday with drones and fireworks — supplies the summer blowout.
Christmas, the main event season
Four films carry the holidays: the Branson Fam's after-dark POV through An Old Time Christmas at Silver Dollar City, repeatedly voted America's top theme-park holiday event; Have Fun Lets Travel's worth-the-hype verdict on the Polar Express train; Promised Land Zoo's Let There Be Lights drive-through; and the Landing's 33-minute Winter Wonderlanding tour. If you only come once, the town would vote for December.
